Agronomy Reports
Upload an agronomist's visit report and TurfWise reads out the measurements and recommendations, turns them into tasks and charts trends across visits
On this page
Agronomy Reports keeps your STRI and agronomist visit reports in one place, with the measurements and recommendations read out of each PDF so you can act on them and compare visits.
Open Course › Inputs › Agronomy Reports. It needs Premium.
What's on the page?
Three tabs sit under the title: Reports, Upload and Trends.
Reports shows four figures — Reports on file, Ready to view, Pending actions (open recommendations) and the Latest visit — then a table of every report with its visit date, agronomist, status, how many measurements and recommendations were found, and when it was uploaded. Filter it with the All, Ready, Processing, Uploading and Failed chips. Click the arrow at the end of a row to open the report.
How do I upload a report?
Open the Upload tab
Drag the PDF into the box, or click to browse. It must be a PDF of up to 25MB.
Click Upload & extract
TurfWise uploads the file and reads it. When it finishes you'll see Report processed with how many measurements and recommendations were found.
View it or add another
View reports takes you back to the list; Upload another clears the box for the next file.
Check what was read
The figures and recommendations are read from the PDF by AI, so check them against the report itself before you act on them. If reading fails, the report shows as Failed in the list.
What can I do inside a report?
A report has five tabs:
- Summary — the visit date, agronomist, club and course, the report's Headlines and Key Actions, and counts of measurements, recommendations, pending items and tasks created.
- Measurements — every reading grouped by surface, with a green, amber or red rating where the report gave one.
- Recommendations — the agronomist's advice, split into Pending and Actioned.
- Cross-Reference — what TurfWise recorded around the visit: turf intelligence within seven days, disease observations within seven days and your most recent lab results.
- Original — View PDF opens the report in TurfWise; Download saves the file.
Turning recommendations into tasks
On the Recommendations tab, tick the pending recommendations you want to act on and click Create 2 Tasks (the button counts what you've ticked). Each becomes a task with the priority the agronomist gave it, and the recommendation moves to Actioned with the task's name and status underneath. The plus icon on a row does the same for one recommendation.
To set one aside instead, click the cross icon on its row, add a reason if you want one and click Dismiss. The reason is kept with the recommendation.
How do I see trends across visits?
The Trends tab charts one measurement over time, surface by surface. Pick the Metric — soil moisture, hardness, smoothness, trueness, green speed, organic matter at three depths, pH, phosphate, potassium, thatch depth, infiltration rate or firmness. If a metric hasn't been measured in any uploaded report, the chart says so.
One visit isn't a trend
Trends only mean something once two or three reports are on file. Upload past reports as well as the latest one and the charts fill in straight away.
