Treatment vs Response
Find out whether a spray changed your greens or whether it was just the season, and what to measure each week so it can tell
On this page
Treatment vs Response looks back at your sprays and asks: did what went in the tank change the greens, or was it just the time of year?

What does the green card tell me?
The card gives a plain answer first — often how many sprays can't be judged yet, and why. Each spray shows as a dot: filled when it can be judged, and outlined when it has readings one side only, no readings or it's too soon.
Use the period buttons (90 days, This season from 1 March, or Pick dates) and Which green to narrow it down. The tiles count your Sprays and how many Can be judged.
How does it judge a spray?
How it works walks through four steps, using one of your own sprays where it can:
- Before — the middle reading in the days before the spray.
- After — the middle reading once the spray has had time to work.
- Minus a normal week — what that time of year does when nothing is sprayed, taken from your own quiet weeks.
- What's left is the spray — checked against anything else that changed, such as another tank, a new height of cut or aeration.
Each spray then gets a verdict: Can't tell yet, No clear change, Possibly or Likely.
What else is on the page?
- Can we tell? — each spray on a timeline with your readings underneath, so you can see the gaps. Tap a dot to open it.
- Your sprays — whole tanks with a sentence and a verdict each. Open one to see what went in the tank, the before and after for every measure, and why it got its verdict.
- Season at a glance — what you did against what you measured. Drag the bar to zoom.
- How long a spray lasts — when there are enough tanks of one kind, they're lined up together against weeks with nothing sprayed.
Export downloads your sprays and verdicts as a CSV.
What does it need from me?
Three small habits each week. Each one answers a different kind of spray:
- Stimp the same three greens — for growth regulators and top dressing.
- Rate the greens 1–10 — for fungicides, wetting agents, feeds and biostimulants.
- Count the clipping boxes — for feeds and growth regulators.
Save time
Click Add weekly measuring to the Planner. It adds a Tuesday routine job covering all three, so you just pick who does it on the week's board.
Once most sprays can be judged, the main button becomes Rate the greens instead.
