Guides, tours and the Help button
Follow Your first week and the section guides beside the page, take a page tour, use the New here? card and the Help button, and find the Help Centre
On this page
TurfWise has help built into the pages themselves: a setup plan that ticks itself off, guides for each section, page tours, and a Help button that brings any of it back.
What is Your first week?
Your first week is a six-step plan for a new club's manager: plan a job, add your team, get the crew on the phone app, add your machines, measure your course areas and record something you spot.
Steps are ticked from what's saved in TurfWise, not from clicks — add your staff and that step is done, whether or not you opened the plan. A step TurfWise can't check says Couldn't check rather than guessing.
The Setup plan button
While there's something left to do, a Setup plan · 2 of 6 button sits at the bottom of the list that opens from any place in the top bar (for example Work). Click it and the plan docks beside the page on a wide screen, leaving the page usable, or opens as a sheet on a phone. Each step has a button to the right page, a Read: link and Skip if it doesn't apply to you (Undo skip brings it back).
Hide the setup plan takes the button away; Help brings it back.
What are the section guides?
Start guides (the All guides → link in the plan) lists Your first week, then a guide for each part of your plan: Course and conditions, Staff and time, Machinery, Stock and spending, Health and safety and Irrigation. Settings checks underneath mirrors your club setup checklist.
Where there's a faster route — pasting the day's jobs as a list, uploading a price list instead of typing it, reading a service plan from the manual — the step shows a Quickest way with its own button, and the long way as Or ….
Click Follow it beside the page and that guide takes over the Setup plan button and the panel, so it travels with you.
Managers only
The plan and the section guides are for the people who run the club's TurfWise. Everyone else still gets the Help button, the New here? card and the Help Centre.
What's the New here? card?
The first time you open a page, a New here? card under the title says in a line what the page is for. Where the page has a faster way of doing its main job — on the Work Planner, pasting a list or starting from last week — a manager also sees it under Quickest way. If the page has a tour, it offers Show me round · 5 steps and Not now; otherwise Got it and a Read: link.
Not now closes the card for this visit; Got it, or taking the tour, closes it for good on that page. Turn off tips stops the card on every page.
Page tours
Show me round spotlights one part of the page at a time with a short note — Back, Next, Done on the last step, or End tour at any point. Only the main pages have one.
What does the Help button do?
The Help button by a page's title opens Help with … that page:
- what the page is for, in a line
- Show me round this page, where there's a tour
- Your setup plan, with how far you've got
- Turn tips back on, if you turned them off
- the page's help articles, and Browse Help Centre
Dismissed something by mistake?
Nothing is gone — the tour, the plan and the tips all come back from Help.
Where's the Help Centre?
You're in it. Every article lives here, grouped by section, with search at the top. From anywhere in TurfWise, search for Help & guides, or use Help & support at the foot of Home.
