Fungicides Guide

Look up UK-authorised turf fungicides by product, active ingredient, FRAC group and target disease, and plan a rotation through the season

On this page

The Fungicides Guide is a reference list of fungicides authorised for amenity turf in the UK, so you can see what's available for a disease and plan your FRAC rotation.

Save time

Instead of hunting through supplier brochures and label PDFs, you can filter every product by disease and FRAC group in one place, and see at a glance which ones suit the time of year.

It's on both Core and Premium. Find it under Course › Disease & areas › Fungicides Guide.

Planning, not the label

The guide is for planning and strategy. Always check the latest product label and HSE approval details before you spray. The figures were last updated in December 2025.

What are the three views?

Use the buttons at the top to switch between Products, Disease & Season and Product Windows.

Products

A table of every product with its Company, FRAC group, resistance Risk, Target diseases and Primary window.

  • Type in Search to find a product, company or active ingredient, then press Enter or click Search.
  • Pick a disease under Disease target: Microdochium, Dollar Spot, Anthracnose, Leaf Spot, Take-All or Fairy Ring.
  • Click a FRAC group chip (3, 7, 11, 12, 33 or BM02) to see only that group. Click it again to clear it.

Clear filters takes you back to the full list.

Disease & Season

A heatmap of typical disease pressure month by month for UK cool-season turf, from None to High.

Click a disease to see its FRAC rotation strategy: which groups suit each part of the season, with a short note on how to use them. Underneath, Suitable products lists matching products you can click into.

It's marked Planning tool only. Base your actual decisions on local conditions, your own monitoring and the label.

Product Windows

A year chart showing when each product is best used. The dark bar is its Primary window and the lighter bar its Secondary window.

Filter by disease or FRAC group to compare products side by side. The line at the top tells you how many products are showing and which FRAC groups are in view, which makes it easy to check you're not leaning on one group.

What's in a product's details?

Click Details on any product (or a product name in the other views) to open its card. You'll find:

  • MAPP number(s), Extent, FRAC group(s) and Resistance risk
  • Active ingredients
  • Target diseases
  • Seasonal application window, primary and secondary
  • Stewardship notes and Usage notes, where there are any

Good habits

  • Rotate groups. Use the FRAC filter to find an alternative from a different group before you repeat one.
  • Check the risk. Products marked High resistance risk need the most careful rotation.
  • Record what you apply. Log every application in the Spray Logger so your rotation history is there next season.
