Report something
Report an injury, a near miss or something that isn't safe with one short form, and see it appear in the register
On this page
Report something is the one form for telling TurfWise that someone was hurt, nearly was, or that something isn't safe.
It's the same form for everyone. Reporting a near miss or something that isn't safe is free on every plan.
Where is the Report something button?
You'll find it in three places:
- H & S > Overview, in the Report something card on the right and as a button at the top
- H & S > Incidents, as a button at the top
- My safety, at the top and beside Your reports
How do I send a report?
Choose what happened
Under What happened? pick one:
- Someone was hurt — any injury, however small. It goes in the accident book. Filing one is free on every plan; if you can't record one yourself the form tells you who does.
- Nearly hurt — nobody was hurt, but it could have been.
- Something's not safe — a hazard to put right, like a loose step or a missing guard.
Say where and when
Fill in Where (for example "6th tee") and check When. It starts at the current time.
Add the detail
Write what happened under Tell us what happened. For a near miss you can also choose What sort of thing it was, such as a slip, a golf ball or machinery. That one's optional.
Send it
Click Send report. You'll see "Sent as" and the report's own number, with a link to See it in the register.
If you chose Someone was hurt, the form hands you on to the injury form, which asks the injury and RIDDOR questions. See Incidents and near misses.
Is reporting free?
Mostly. Nearly hurt and Something's not safe are free to file and to read on every plan, Core included.
Someone was hurt is free to file on every plan. Opening the injury record afterwards, and managing reports (following up an injury, the RIDDOR clock and the investigation), are part of Premium.
Stick to the facts
Reports can be read by insurers, auditors and the HSE. Write down what happened, where and when, not what you think caused it.
What happens next?
The report goes straight into the register under H & S > Incidents. A manager can follow it up from there.
Your team can also report from the TurfWise mobile app, and those reports land in the same register.
