Site checks

See which safety checks are due, record what was found, set up regular checks and keep track of statutory machine examinations

On this page

Site checks is where you see what safety checks are due, what was done, which ones repeat, and when each machine's statutory examination is next needed.

Click H & S in the top bar, then Site checks. It has four views.

What's on which plan

All four views are part of Premium, along with the rest of H & S.

What does Due show?

Due is the view that opens first. It shows the checks that need you, in order: Missed, Due this week and Failed, re-check due. Below them is a Timeline of the next six weeks, and Machines before use · today shows how many machines have had their daily check.

If nothing is due, you'll see "Nothing due in the next six weeks". Set up a regular check and it shows here when it comes round.

What does Done show?

Done lists every inspection you've recorded, with its result and when it's next due. See Safety inspections for how to record one.

Use Record a check at the top to add one.

How do I set up a regular check?

Open Regular checks. Write the checklist once, then say where, how often and who does it.

1

Save your club safety setup first

If the page asks you to save your club safety setup first, answer the club safety questions in Settings > Knowledge & policies > H&S policy. See Setting up H & S.

2

Write a checklist

Under Write a checklist give it a Checklist title and type the Check questions, one per line. Add Review notes and tick the box to say you've reviewed the questions.

3

Add the check

Give it a Check name, choose the Location and Who does it, and pick the checklist. Then set Repeat every, the First check date and Starts from.

Each regular check becomes a job in the Planner. The list shows each check's How often, Who, Last result and Next date. A check you stop shows Stopped.

What are Examinations?

Examinations covers the statutory examinations of machines and kit, such as lifting equipment. Each row shows the machine, the examination, the last report and when the next is Next due. A machine with no report shows None on file.

Managers add reports with Add an examination report. Reports are added and reviewed by club managers.

Machine checks are different

The quick checks operators do before using a machine are pre-use checks. They live in Machinery. See Pre-use checks and QR tags.
