Weather Reminders
Tell TurfWise the weather a job needs, and get a nudge on Today and your phone when the forecast says it's coming
On this page
Weather Reminders watch the forecast for you and tell you when the weather a job needs is on its way.
Click Work in the top bar, then Prepare › Weather Reminders. It's included on Core.
How does it work?
- Say what weather you need — for example "wind 7 mph or less" for spraying, or "at least 2 mm of rain" to water in fertiliser.
- We check the forecast — three times a day, early morning, midday and late afternoon, looking as far ahead as you choose.
- You get a nudge — on Today and as a phone notification, no more than once every 12 hours for each reminder.
What does the green card mean?
The card answers Is anything watching the forecast?
- Yes — reminders are watching the forecast now.
- Not today — your reminders start later, or only run on set days.
- No — they've all finished or been turned off, so nothing is checking.
- Not yet — you haven't set any up.
The figures underneath show what's Watching now, what's Finished and how many Alerts sent.
How do I set up a reminder?
Click New reminder
Click New reminder on the green card.
Name the job
Under Task / Reminder, say what it's for, such as "Apply wetting agent to greens". Add a description and a priority if you like.
Set the weather
Choose one or more conditions: Rainfall, Rain Chance, Wind Speed, Gust max, Temperature, Feels Like, Humidity, Frost Risk or Pressure. You need at least one.
Set the schedule
Choose how many hours to Look ahead, which Active days to run on (leave them empty for every day), and the Active from and Active until dates.
Save
Click Create Reminder.
Each reminder then reads as a sentence, such as "Tell me when wind is 7 mph or less in the next 2 days."
How do I manage my reminders?
Filter the list by All, Watching, Waiting, Finished or Off. On each reminder you can edit it, Turn off or Turn on, or delete it.
Save time
Doing the same job next month? Use Run again with new dates on a finished reminder, or Reuse a finished one on the green card. Everything is copied — you just pick the dates.
